I was so excited to get my first letter from Teighlor. The missionaries and other said I should get one in the mail as they have the missionaries write home on their first night. I finally got it the next Tuesday! I was so excited to hear about how she was doing and how she survived her flight, she thinks she is going to love her mission etc...yep, that is what I expected. Do you want to know what I got? I got about 3 sentences. Yep, just 3. The whole letter consisted of
"Hi Mom, I don't have a lot of time so this has to be short, I will write more later, my P day is Thursday. Tell the kids I love them and I need some tank tops, please send them to me. Love, Sister Cole"
That's it, that was my whole letter. But alas, I am glad that she was well enough to write. :)
So I waited and then on Thursday morning I had to get up early to let Layla outside to go potty, (now that Teighlor isn't here to give her late midnight walks anymore), but then I couldn't go back to sleep. It was about 4:30am. I think I went back to sleep somewhere about 7am, but then the other kids were waking up, so that didn't last long. While laying there I was going crazy about how Teighlor was doing, if she liked her companion, maybe she hated it there and was crying cause she wanted to come home and how I was going to handle that situation, what I would say (I never figured it out), and my mind went on and on. Sometimes my mind just drives me crazy.
Finally the time came and I got an ema
il from her, well a couple of them. I have changed the names of others that we don't know, just in case. Also if I need to insert an explanation, I did so in
italics. So here is what she had to say:
Mom,
I have been having computer trouble but I will try my best! It weird that they saw we have an hour but really we have 30min and the computer acting up and wasting my preciouse time to mail you . :( I have sooooo much to tell you even if it doesn't fit I mail you the rest ok??
My companion is Sister Baker and live here in Utah in Kaysville and is the 2nd child to go on a mission, she is the only daughter out of 3 brothers. She truly loves the gospel and lvoes me too a lot, that sometimes I have to hold back the tears whens he tells about me and shares her love. She is slowly becoming another mother and helps me understand the gospel after noticing I had trouble in class and I braverly told her some problem (mom insert - Teighlor has always struggled with language and comprehension, you will notice in her writing that some sentences may not be complete, I am leaving most of them as I want to see her growth through her mission, if they are too difficult I might make small adjustments or use explanation inserts :) and she smiles and say no worries she will help me.
I glad someone told you (mom insert - My friend, Mica, sent me a message on FB letting me know that she saw Teighlor at the SLC Airport, she didn't get to say hello because it was crazy busy, but she said she looked good. That was an answer to a prayer for me :) cause like I said earlier I had computer problem and they refused to send my letter but the next day I had permission and it was fix and glad to see your letter :)
And guess what I wasn't alone in the Florida Airport! another sister was here and she found me, her name was Sis Moore. Sadly we didn't sit by each other in the LONG 4 hour flight (feels awkward without my iPod to listen to music too and there was WIFI too I could have been on Pandora listening to violinist songs or maybe church songs and more) and in Utah of course I wouldn't be alone with the MTC at there I met many more Missionaries though the boys overpowered the girls it was still nice.
Remember when you said I should break in my shoes...well one of them too it literally and broke I gonna go to the cobble or alteration and pray that they will fix it. If not it an easy fix for me to do alone :) OH! I am sorry about spending money when I realize there are so many books I may need, and dertgent to wash my clothes, stamps for mail and even more in the future and again I am sorry :( I pray that I some how pass by in life and how to do things.
Its ok to write long in here cause I miss you soooo much and the family too plus I wanna ask, how is bapa dad doing??? I was in a investigator practice (a real investigator) and they were worried about him when I explain the situation as a example or a connection to their situation.
Sigh time I got to go so I mail the rest or wait till I return with a Journal full of wonderful memories :)

Then a little later in the afternoon she was able to write me another letter:
Sorry my companion and I wanted to fix that hour thing and we did so yay I get to tell you more.
So I don't know where I am but yea, I found more people who going to Mississippi too but I only found 1 elder so far and the rest were Sisters. I hadn't found Sis James (mom insert - Sis James is the daughter of a mom I met on the email group I am in for Southern Gulf State Missionary Mom's and her daughter went into the MTC the same day as Teighlor and is also going to Jackson Mississippi) yet but she will be in my To Find List ;) lol...I found Sister Egbert and she stillh ere but sadly for her she may not go to Brazil and be assigned somewhere else in the USA if her visa never come by to get her out, she she prays is warm with what she had packed and I pray too :( who knows maybe she be at Mississippi with me later on but chances of that is really small. And I feel good about saying Hi and How are you in Japanese and Spanish but they think I am assigned to their area and I laugh and say "No" I can only speak some of it and I bet you understand right??
I am actually glad you and the family send me mail I never sooooooo happy and smiling cause I was sooo impatient just to open up and see what inside and all those things made me smile and laugh (you know what made me laugh) and hope you guys do more of these random gifts if you like and hearing the kids made me cry hearing all the wonderful thing that Today I mail back to everyone.
I am doing tummy exercise and trying to do them morning and night but with my heavy schedule its hard fitting so hoping in the field I will do better with Gym. I repeat my tummy exercise in order that my tummy hurt a lot. But lately I been getting sick and had a Blessing of healing from the Elders which was nice cause I get the blessing and they learning how to do things like these so it a win win for both of us :)
Last night before going to the gym I was in the bathroom and I heard my companion worried voice and ran to her and figure out why she was worried till she ask me for the keys to get in the room and I left them inside. We got lock out, and our roommates were around showing the new girls the MTC. We were able to get a spare but it was the wrong spare and even the second key they give us. Boy Sister Baker was really disappointed cause she love Gym and we missed 30 minutes of it, so I calm her down and ask lets go to the gym but I was barefoot the whole time and I was cool with it I had permission and explain our problem and I was in the girls stretching or what ever room so I won't get hurt being barefooted and all of that was last night :) what a fun night (for me).
Wow time went by I gotta go and I not even clearly done :( Well like I said I will mail you them and keep mailing back I be in Mississippi Monday and I mail you my new address and call too. I find that out too ok?
